📌 OCT East was once Shenzhen’s premier vacation kingdom, attracting countless visitors. But today, it feels eerily deserted, almost like a ghost town.
🚂 The Forest Train has almost no passengers, the Tea Stream Valley stage is silent, and the model steam train stands still. The once lively pigeons in the square have mostly disappeared, and the iconic blue check-in building alongside the European-style architecture now reflect a sense of abandonment.
🏚 The Tea Master Ancient Town is overgrown with weeds, its former prosperity long gone. The only sounds in the mountains are the chirping of birds, making the emptiness even more pronounced. Yet strangely, the off-road go-kart track is still in operation, standing as one of the few remaining signs of activity in this fading resort.
💭 What led to the decline of OCT East? How did this once-thriving paradise become so desolate? Join me as we explore its present state and uncover the story behind its rise and fall.
