Join us for a delightful family day at Sherwood Forest Railway, Nottinghamshire's only narrow gauge steam railway! In this vlog, we share our sunny afternoon filled with fun activities and memorable moments.

Highlights of Our Visit:
Steam Train Ride: We embarked on a mile-long journey through the picturesque Sherwood Forest aboard a charming 5/8th scale steam locomotive. The boys were thrilled as we chugged along the scenic route, passing through tunnels and over level crossings.
Adventure Play Area: Oliver and Harry had a blast exploring the adventure playground, which features slides, a bouncy castle, a zip wire, and a trampoline. It's a fantastic spot for kids to burn off energy and enjoy the outdoors.
Under-Fives Play Area: Our little ones enjoyed a dedicated play area designed specifically for younger children, ensuring safe and age-appropriate fun.
Picnic Spots: although we didn’t stop off for a picnic today, there’s some lovely picnic areas to relax and enjoy some family time amidst the beautiful forest setting.

Nestled between Mansfield and the historic village of Edwinstowe, Sherwood Forest Railway is a family-run attraction offering a unique steam railway experience. The 15-inch gauge railway features 5/8th scale locomotives and runs through scenic landscapes, including cuttings, level crossings, and traditional farmland.

Opening Times: Open daily from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Ticket Prices: Adults £3.50, Children £3.00 - Annual passes available

Facilities: The railway offers an adventure play area, an under-fives play area, picnic areas, a bouncy castle, and a shop selling refreshments and souvenirs.
