The 2024 BYD Seagull is an all-electric city car produced by Chinese automaker BYD. It is positioned as the smallest model in BYD's electric vehicle lineup, competing in the A00-class market in China, which is equivalent to Europe's A-segment
The Seagull, also known as the "BYD Dolphin Mini" in international markets, offers a new, more affordable pricing strategy with its Honor Edition variant starting at approximately $9,700

The exterior design of the Seagull features sharp lines, angular-shaped headlights, a sloping roofline, and rear lamps attached to a light bar, giving it a sporty appearance despite its high profile
The interior is spacious, with a 4-seater, 5-door design in a hatchback body structure, and a wheelbase-to-length ratio of 66%, which is 2 percentage points higher than the Dolphin's 64%
The dashboard has a two-tone 'wing' design inspired by the Ocean series, featuring a rotatable 10.1" touchscreen infotainment system and a 7" digital instrument cluster。

The 2024 Seagull is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor producing 55kW and 135Nm of torque, and it uses a 38kWh lithium-ferrous phosphate (LFP) ‘Blade’ battery, enabling a driving range of 280 km according to Brazil's PBEV standard
It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 14.9 seconds and has a top speed of 130km/h
The vehicle is more suited for urban driving, with a high driving position and electrically adjustable seats for comfort。

In terms of infotainment and connectivity, the Seagull offers a rotatable 10.1" touchscreen infotainment system, a 7" digital instrument cluster, and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
It also supports over-the-air software updates and satellite navigation

Safety features include driver assistance and safety systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Intelligent Speed Limit Alarm (ISLI), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
The Seagull also comes with six side and curtain airbags, along with traction and stability controls

The 2024 BYD Seagull is backed by a lifetime warranty for the electric system for the first owner, and the warranty period for the entire vehicle is 6 years or 150,000 km
