The various activities performed by JE TRD are as below:-

1)They look after the OHE i.e Overhead equipment of Indian Railways. Carries 25KV. They have to check complete OHE under their jurisdiction in 3 months.
2)They work in tower wagons for various maintenance activities.
They need to attend breakdown immediately.
3)Plan in advance the requirement of power blocks for OHE maintenance.
4)Ensure that all spares required for maintenance are available.
They are posted at various stations of division.

Training of one year. Training conducted at Centralized Electrical Training Institute, Thakurli
And Indian railway institute of electrical engineers Nasik.
Field Training of 8 weeks.

A highly Technical Job.
Being skilled job, there are good promotion avenues for deserving candidates.
Travelling Allowance is more as there is frequent movement. Night allowance during night blocks.
Better technical interaction and knowledge enhancement.
Better prospects in different other organisations as RVNL, RITES, CORE, PGCIL.
