1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Blend Door Diagnostic and Replacement | Fix It Friday

This video shows you how to Diagnose and Replace the Blend Doors in a 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Make sure that you specify if your vehicle has two heat zones or just one. The new part we installed is designed for one heat zone. This is why it was not necessary to reinstall the blend door partition.

Tools:

Flat Head Screw Driver
Phillips Head Screw Driver
Cutting Tool
Tape
Vacuum

Pliers
A working Lamp

Directions
Start by removing the glove box
Grab your cutting tool and make the cut shown in the video to gain access to the blend doors.
Cut the partition between the blend doors
Remove the blend doors
Disassemble the new blend doors and install them into place
Install the axle
Re-install the door with a small clip
Install servo motor
Allow for automatic recall.

If the car does not automatically re-calibrate, unplug the vehicle's battery and allow the car to run for 2 minutes. This will force all systems to reboot.
