1996 Kirtan with the GBC during Srila Prabhupada's Centennial year

His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Maharaja's NIMAINITAI Mayapur You Tube Channel is featuring for this month and next month the oldies but goodies videos from 1996 which was Srila Prabhupada's centennial year (100 years old).
Srila Prabhupada departed for the USA on September 1st on the Jaladuta Ship. So, the idea came to feature the Jaladuta Ship to come alive inside the Pancha Tattva Temple for the whole world to see.

Next is to show the culmination of the construction department's work in 1995 & 1996. For 5 years the BIG PUSH came in Sri Dhama Mayapur to re-awaken Mayapur with 10 multi-flat buildings to be finished.
Also, the Samadhi construction department under the management of H.G Sadbhuj Prabhu & on-site manager H.G. Giri Govardhan Prabhu worked hard to, after 17 years, finally finish and open Srila Prabhupada's Pushpa Samadhi Mandir for the whole world to visit that His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami Maharaja started 17 years earlier.

Next is to build and open was the Pancha Tattva Mandir with the new Pancha Tattva Deities produced in Mayapur under the watchful eyes of the mongoose and then cast in Navadwip.

Devotees from all over the world poured into Sri Dhama Mayapur to witness all of these events during the 1996 Gaura Purnima Festival. This was the first time in Mayapur that I saw all of these small video cassette cameras show up. They were VHS-C, Video-8 & HI-8 cassettes cameras to capture the memories. Where are all of these videos made that special year? I do not know. I searched You Tube, but I only found on NIMAINITAI.
The Sri Sri Radha Madhava Boating Festival started that year at Srila Prabhupada's Samadhi.
For Srila Prabhupada, His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaja was producing the films in Mumbai of Srila Prabhupada's Life Story. He also encouraged the devotees at Bhaktivedanta Manor to bring their acting and singing abilities to the 1996 Gaura Purnima Festival event. He paid for all of their airline tickets and expenses.
