This session will cover the process of stewarding a climate smart practice as a solution to health inequity. We will discuss basic health impacts of areas without shade canopy, look at the food access issue in North Saint Louis and walk through a culturally relevant ecological intervention that reflects the beauty of an area, benefits the health of residents and tackles and eradicates environmental justice issues. Examples such as North Saint Louis Seed Library, greening small public spaces and raising the awareness of nutritional and City policy are used as the foundation of a think-share/visioning session. Participants will journal or draw through a prompt and reflect as a group. The session will offer a call to action to build and deepen relationships to uplift survival tactics of residents in redlined areas.
