Learn how to embroider beautiful straight stitch flowers with this easy needlework guide—perfect for beginners!
In this tutorial, I begin by stitching the straight stems using the stem stitch (or outline stitch). Then, I create the center of the leaves with the loop stitch, which is similar to the Palestrina stitch but a bit simpler. Next, I finish the leaf edges with straight stitch, before moving on to the beautiful flat flowers. These flowers, perfect for embellishing clothing and accessories, are stitched with only the straight stitch and single fly stitch, with their centers filled using the circle eyelet stitch.
