This is Part 1 of Episode 2 in a series which explores and captures a range of pipe organs across Essex, hosted by Dr Warren Symes.
This first piece was arranged by Carlo Curley - Prelude on 'Eternal Father Strong to Save'. The piece was originally composed in 1860 by John B Dykes.
This wonderful organ was originally located at St Erkenwald's Church in Southend on Sea, Essex. The St Erkenwald's Church was built in 1905 and designed by architect Sir Walter Tapper. Unfortunately the church was demolished in 1992, but it is wonderful that we can still listen to this magnificent organ, here at St Martin's.
