How to Build a Co2 Reactor - (almost) Suitable for an FX6's Flow Rate

UPDATE- (4/14/20) the FX6 with full flow will push bubbles straight through this thing. Now I will build a larger reactor to compensate for the stronger flow of the FX6. As a compensation while I wait for parts, the output aquastop valve is at 50% and the dissolve rate was hugely improved (at the expense of flow restriction). I have a green drop checker at 2.5 bubble/sec which is pretty good. Looking forward however to having the larger reactor and full flow from FX6.

Co2 reactor for larger aquariums, allowing for a wider diameter hose connection such as a 1" hose that comes with a Fluval FX6. I have built this one in such a way as to overcome mistakes I've made on previous builds. No need to build crazy contraptions just to use a product that is available commercially but uses a narrow diameter tubing, if you have a large aquarium and high flow rate, build your own reactor and use large hose barb fittings!
I also build a cradle/stand for this reactor with spare pieces of red oak left over from the cabinet build, and stained it the same color as the cabinet.
