A day in the life of an emergency nurse practitioner is challenging! We work a variety of shifts in a very stressful environment. In this video, I break down the process of how the emergency department works! We evaluate patients based on acuity, and not on a first come basis. This is for one simple fact: so we can take care of the sickest person the fastest! Also in this video, I share a portion of my AM routine before going in to work.
