Yvonne and Victor live a simple yet happy life with their son Marcus and strive to make ends meet by making horse taka (paper mache). Setting his sight on a better life for his family, Victor agrees to supply handicrafts to Mr. Tiongson, unaware that the businessman is involved in drug trafficking. While Yvonne strives to help her husband, Victor is forced to sell his handicrafts on the streets which, in turn, leads him to meet Janine: a single mother who desires to fulfill her daughter’s long-time wish to see her father.
