In this episode of Ultimate Fishing with Matt Watson, the team are on a mission to be the first to catch a swordfish in the South Island of New Zealand, and claim the southern most swordfish catch in the world. Swordfish over 700kg (1500lb) have been caught on commercial longlines down in the deep south and on this expedition Matt takes his gamefishing tackle aboard a commercial tuna boat, but it’s no free ride, before Matt can fish for swordfish; he has to work with the crew to catch tuna to pay his way.
