Joey Reyes - / direkjoey
Jose Javier Reyes, widely known as Direk Joey, is a celebrated Filipino film director, producer, and screenwriter. Renowned for his work on Oro, Plata, Mata (1982) and Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo (2006), he has also showcased his talents on-screen in Boy Pick-Up: The Movie (2012) and Babae sa Septic Tank 3: The Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken (2019). A former board member of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, Direk Joey was appointed Chairman and CEO of the Film Development Council of the Philippines in 2024, succeeding Tirso Cruz III.
Boots Anson-Roa
Boots Anson-Roa is a veteran Filipina actress, columnist, editor, and lecturer whose career spans over five decades. She has starred alongside legends such as Fernando Poe Jr. and Joseph Estrada in films like Tatay Na Si Erap (1972), Loving Someone (1993), and Blue Moon (2003). Offscreen, she held key leadership roles in various organizations, including heading MOWELFUND, Inc. for decades. A multi-awarded figure, she remains a vital presence in both the entertainment industry and public service.
Paolo Villaluna - / pvillaluna
Paolo Villaluna is an acclaimed Filipino filmmaker and a prominent voice in the Philippine New Wave. Appointed in 2024 as the head of the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), he has long championed alternative and independent cinema. His directorial work includes Palugid (2001), Ilusyon (2005), Selda (2007), Walang Hanggang Paalam (2009), and Pauwi Na [Pedicab] (2016). As FAP's current leader, Villaluna continues to advocate for the development and sustainability of Philippine cinema.
Whaqyn Miguel D. Olalia - @Whaqyn / whaqyn
Whaqyn Olalia is a content creator at the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), with a background in multimedia production and journalism. Though new to the industry, he has made a strong and dynamic start through his work in content creation and on-screen talent. Drawing from his experience across various media platforms, Whaq has developed a keen ability to craft narratives that engage and resonate with diverse audiences. His talent was recognized early on, with his undergraduate thesis “Because, Kasi: An Online Comedy News Show” earning an Outstanding Thesis Award from his alma mater, De La Salle University.
