According to Census 2011 information the location code or village code of Dharasu village is 048058. Dharasu village is located in Chaubattakhal tehsil of Garhwal district in Uttarakhand, India. It is situated 17km away from sub-district headquarter Chaubattakhal (tehsildar office) and 56km away from district headquarter Pauri. As per 2009 stats, Dharasu village is also a gram panchayat.

The total geographical area of village is 233 hectares. Dharasu has a total population of 758 peoples, out of which male population is 339 while female population is 419. Literacy rate of dharasu village is 69.79% out of which 79.94% males and 61.58% females are literate. There are about 202 houses in dharasu village. Pincode of dharasu village locality is 246162.

Pauri Garhwal is nearest town to dharasu for all major economic activities, which is approximately 56km away.
