Part 11 - Autobiography of a Yogi

Yogananda along with his two American disciples reached India in August 1935.

And to their surprise, a grand welcome awaited them. Hundreds of people came to see their beloved Yogananda. There was not a single eye that was not moist. His father was extremely happy to see his son back after 15 long years. And when Yogananda reached his guru’s ashram in Serampore, to see his guru....it was as if time stopped..tears blurred Yogananda’s vision and he lovingly touched his guru’s feet expressing his gratitude and love. And we can well imagine the joy of Swami Sri Yukteshwar, for whom Yogananda was not only a disciple but like his own child.

Yogananda also met Mahatma Gandhi, Anandamayi Maa- The joy-permeated mother and a wonderful yogi saint- Giri Bala, who never used to eat or drink.

Sri Yukteshwar gave us this enlightening opportunity to all of us through Yogananda to explain us… life after death.
In the two hours that Sri Yukteshwar was with Yogananda, Sri Yukteshwar, not only guided him but also assured him that he will be always there with him, and whenever Yogananda calls him…he shall come in his flesh and blood form yet again. With this, Swami Sri Yukteshwar miraculously vanished..just the way he came from the finer astral realms of Hiranyaloka.
