Some days ago I had to temporarily interrupt a flight to Braganza, Portugal because I took off with a door not correctly latched. Even though I followed the checklist I didn’t make the mandatory push on top of the door to double check that both door latches were closed. I did on copilot’s one for but not on mine. Lesson learnt.
BTW... I shouldn't have taken a second to decide to land. Not a critical emergency (in a Cirrus), but the plane should go to the ground ASAP. Lesson 2 learnt.
