Ashley Benefield Trial - The Story So Far

A former ballerina is set to face trial on July 22 for allegedly murdering her estranged husband at their Florida home in 2020. Ashley Benefield faces a charge of second-degree murder for the death of Doug Benefield. Ashley ran to a neighbor’s home and said she shot Doug after he allegedly attacked her, responding deputies said. Ashley claims she shot Doug in self-defense.
