Farewell Ryan's Bros route services (BCSV Event 2025)

Hello and welcome!

Today in this video, we farewell to the route services of Ryan's Bros bus service which will be handed over to CDC Melbourne in June 2025 as part of the ZEB (Zero Emission Buses) bus contracts announced by the Victorian Goverment near the end of 2024.

To commemorate the end of their route services, the BCSV (Bus and Coach Society of Victoria) organised a farewell tour for Ryans which included a depot tour and joy rides on some buses that normally are not used for route service!

This will be a sad loss along side Melbourne's other family owned route operators being Panorama, Kastoria and Broadmeadows bus service who will also be losing their contracts to bigger corporations (With a certain one being CDC who is well known for being awful).
Kastoria/Broadmeadows and Ryan's will be losing their contract to CDC while Panorama will lose their contract to Dynons who also will be losing some of their routes to Kinetic.

I would like to say a huge thanks to the directors of Ryan's for what they have done during the years to make Ryan's standout!
With the contract being passed on to bigger corporations this will affect the operation badly, Ryan's buses have always been cleaned, looked stunning and always ran on time while CDC's buses is uh you know (Also they never keep up to the timetable).

When Ryan's route operation ceases they will be a charter company only.
