In this video, I explain and demonstrate why linear-phase high-pass filters anywhere in the sub region is bad news. (And I also show why even minimum phase high-pass filters in this region are ALSO bad news.) This is episode 18 in a series about how to mix for loudness, in large part by using a specific approach to gainstaging and dynamic range control that I call the "Clip-to-Zero (CTZ) strategy".
