Driving the World’s Most Scenic Road | Icefields Parkway, Canada

This episode marks the real beginning of my Alaska to Antarctica road trip — no recaps, no flashbacks, just real-time travel.
At 4 AM, I leave Edmonton with one goal:
to drive what many call the world’s most scenic road — the Icefields Parkway.
But instead of taking the usual tourist route, I take a detour.
I drive through the David Thompson Highway to find a hidden gem — Abraham Lake.

No tickets.
No crowds.
Just unreal blue water and silence.

Later, I finally join the Icefields Parkway and stop at:
Peyto Lake (short hike, famous fox-shaped view)
Bow Lake (pure roadside beauty)

By evening, exhaustion hits.

I reach Lake Louise tired and hungry -
The real problem begins now.
I have planned to camp tonight in Kananaskis with subscribers — strangers who are about to become part of this journey.
But I can’t find propane gas anywhere.
It’s getting dark.
Temperatures are dropping.
And the camping plan is suddenly uncertain.
This episode ends not with answers — but with a question:
Where will the night take me?
