As the needs of the maritime community evolve, we need to find ways to support the development of innovative solutions that could enhance our use of the marine environment.
Digital twins can support this aim by creating a digital representation of a physical object or an environment, such as a ship or port, that can be maintained with real-time data. This provides shipping companies, port operators and others with accurate environments to test new ideas without the need for disruptive and costly physical tests.
We have been working with the marine community to build a number of immersive digital twins, utilising our data and expertise to create a realistic virtual environment.
