자전거를 타고 캠핑 여행을!
20년 이상 자전거 라이딩을 해온 나에게 자전거 캠핑은 어쩌면 나의 자전거 생활의 정점일 것 같다는 생각이 든다. 사실 지난해 처음 자캠에 첫발을 내디딘 후 나는 점차 이 세계의 맛에 조금씩 조금씩 빠지고 있다.

속어로 자캠이라고 한다. 자전거 캠핑의 준말인데, 영어로 BIKEPACKING 혹은 CYCLING CAMPING 이라고 말할 수 있을 것 같다.

어쨌든 자캠은 일석삼조, 그 이상인 것 같다. 운동도 하고, 여행도 하며, 캠핑도 하기 때문이다.

캠핑장에서 보는 밤하늘의 별, 텐트 안에 누워서 듣게 되는 여울 소리, 이른 아침의 영롱한 이슬... 눈이 시원하고 마음이 청아해진다.

바야흐로 나는 자캠 전도사가 되어가는지 모르겠다.

사실, 나는 그동안 자전거와 캠핑 장비를 구입하면서 시행착오가 좀 있었다. 그만큼 필요 없는 지출이 생겼던 것이다. 새로 자전거캠핑에 입문하려는 분에게 지출 낭비가 생기지 않도록 이 유튜브 채널을 통해 틈틈이 정보를 올리고 싶다.

이번에 올리는 영상은 지난 5월 15일 서울 강동구 오디바이크에서 열렸던 자전거 패킹 세미나의 일부이다. Korea Epic Ride (www.koreaepicride.kr) 와 바이크 매거진(https://www.bikem.co.kr/) 이 기획한 행사에선 바이크 패킹 코스와 장비, 그리고 음식 등에 대해 세 분의 실력있는 강사가 나와서 강의를 했다. 참석자는 모두 30명이었다.

A camping trip on a bicycle!
For me, who has been riding a bicycle for more than 20 years, I think bicycle camping may be the pinnacle of my bicycle life. In fact, after taking the first step toward bicycle camping last year, I am gradually falling in love with the taste of this world.

It's called JACAM in Korean. It's an abbreviation of bicycle camping, but I think you can say BIKEPACKING or CYCLING CAMPING in English.

Anyway, bike camping seems to be very useful. This is because I exercise, travel, and camp.

The stars in the night sky seen at the campsite, the sound of the mountain stream around the outside of the tent, the bright dew in the early morning... My eyes become cool and my mind becomes clear.

I don't know if I'm becoming a preacher for bicycle camping.

In fact, I have had some trials and errors while purchasing bicycles and camping equipment. That's how much unnecessary spending has been made. I want to post information on this YouTube channel from time to time so that people who are new to bicycle camping don't waste their money.

This video is part of a bike packing seminar held at ODBIKE in Gangdong-gu, Seoul on May 15. At a this event organized by Korea Epic Ride (www.koreaepicride.kr/ ) and Bike Magazine (https://www.bikem.co.kr/) ), three talented instructors gave lectures on bike packing courses, equipment, and food. A total of 30 people attended the event.
