We use Gerund if the non-finite action occurs before the finite action . We usually use Gerund to refer to experience , habit and real action.
We use Infinitive if finite action occurs before non-finite occurs . We usually use Infinitive to refer to intention , unreal situation and an action that has not yet taken place .
