Freda Behrens, Human Resources Director & Robyn Rodrigues People & Culture Manager, Lindt & Sprüngli Australia outlined how the Life Styles Inventory (LSI) program has driven significant leadership and cultural transformation within the organisation. Starting in 2020, the goal was to move from “good to great” by empowering employees, enhancing collaboration, and embedding consistent leadership behaviours aligned with Lindt’s values.
Over 278 team members, including senior leaders and retail managers, participated in the Life Styles Inventory (LSI) program. Workshops and feedback helped leaders understand how their behaviours impacted others. Key initiatives included a delegation framework to speed decision-making, fostering honest conversations, and creating consistent recognition through the “Mastery of Chocolate” awards.
Lindt emphasised that change starts at the top, with the executive team modelling constructive behaviours. The program strengthened capability, accountability, and collaboration, shifting the culture towards more constructive leadership and performance-driven practices.
Looking ahead, Lindt will continue the journey with Human Synergistics’ OCI, embedding leadership development at all levels to sustain high performance and ensure the company’s purpose of “enchanting the world with chocolate” is carried forward for future generations.
