On the day of his wedding to Jennifer, Luke tries to leverage his photos the black book for a promise of security from Frank Smith, but it doesn't work out, and Frank tells Luke that if he causes any more trouble, he'll kill him. Scott, believing that Luke and Laura have been having an affair since she said she was raped, arrives on the boat and attacks Luke, sending him overboard. Luke asks Laura to help him escape, and they head to Smith's office to get the black book. They learn that Smith believes Luke is dead. (General Hospital, Luke Spencer, 1980)
