There is a longstanding argument amongst beekeepers as to whether it makes financial sense to make your own bee frames instead of purchasing them commercially. Beekeepers that are advocates of buying them commercially will often say, "there are so many intricate cuts required to make a bee frame and you can buy them cheaper than you can make them." In all my research, I have not found a definitive answer to this question, so I started the journey of making 150 bee frames while documenting all of the time and materials required.
