Our First Super Duty ModCAP Build! | Tiny Builds

This build marks a first for us—our first time installing an Alu-Cab camper on a Ford Super Duty platform. In this video, we walk through this F-250 setup featuring an Alu‑Cab ModCAP paired with a Sherpa roof rack, and explain why this combination makes so much sense on a full-size truck.

The ModCAP is a natural fit for the Super Duty, offering a durable, modular camper solution that works just as well for daily use as it does for extended travel. This platform provides the payload, stability, and footprint needed to fully take advantage of what the ModCAP has to offer.

We also added the Sherpa rack to improve wind deflection and create additional usable real estate up top—perfect for mounting accessories now or adapting the setup down the road as needs change. It’s a simple addition that adds a lot of flexibility without overcomplicating the build.

This walkaround is all about showing how a clean, functional camper setup comes together on a heavy-duty platform—and why the Super Duty is such a strong candidate for a ModCAP build.
