For those who don't know, June 27th is an unofficial holiday in Houston. This is not the day in which DJ Screw passed away nor is it his birthday.
On this day in 1996, one of the greatest mixtapes by DJ Screw was created for & on his friend's, D-Moe, birthday. It is a day that brought out some of the best freestyles from Southside Houston underground artists. On this day, Yungstar made his name well known & 19 years later, this tape is still played/remembered as something special in reference to Houston culture.
