Hello YouTube viewers, and welcome to my channel. This video shows you how to disassemble carburetors from a 2003 Honda Shadow 1100. As with all my videos, all steps are shown, and I explain the steps throughout the video. Also, I have included time stamps below to help you find a particular step in the video.
1. From 00:00 to 00:11 is the introduction to the video.
All the parts from steps one to thirteen pertain to the left carburetor. Also, step fourteen shows the carburetors being separated.
2. From 00:12 to 00:54, the fuel is drained from the carburetors.
3. From 00:55 to 02:14, the float bowl chamber is removed from the left side carburetor.
4. From 02:15 to 03:10, the float and the float needle is removed.
5. From 03:11 to 03:35, the slow jet is removed from the carburetor body.
6. From 03:36 to 03:53, the main jet is removed from the needle jet holder.
7. From 03:54 to 04:27, the float needle seat is removed using a 10mm socket.
8. From 04:28 to 04:55, the primary jet needle holder is removed using a 7mm socket.
9. From 04:56 to 05:16, the idle adjustment thumb screw is removed.
10. From 05:17 to 06:26, the vacuum chamber cover and diaphragm are removed.
11. From 06:27 to 07:13, the air cut-off valve and cover are removed.
12. From 07:14 to 08:23, the butterfly is removed.
13. From 08:24 to 09:06, the throttle drum and spring are removed.
14. From 09:07 to 10:51, the carburetors are separated.
15. From 10:52 to 12:12, all the parts from the left carburetor are put into a plastic bag for organization.
16. From 12:13 to 12:41, more carburetor linkage is removed.
17. From 12:42 to 14:07, the float bowl chamber is removed from the right side carburetor.
18. From 14:08 to 14:52, the float and the float needle is removed.
19. From 14:53 to 15:10, the main jet is removed from the needle jet holder.
20. From 15:11 to 15:21, the slow jet is removed from the carburetor body.
21. From 15:22 to 15:42, the primary jet needle holder is removed using a 7mm socket.
22. From 15:43 to 16:15, the float needle seat is removed using a 10mm socket.
23. From 16:16 to 17:16, the vacuum chamber cover and diaphragm are removed.
24. From 17:17 to 17:50, the air cut-off valve and cover are removed.
25. From 17:51 to 19:56, the rest of the throttle linkage is removed.
26. From 19:57 to 21:45, the rest of the parts are labeled and bagged for organization.
