This is my basic technique that I follow several times each year. I have enough bamboo growing on my site that I can keep my garden and other needs supplied this way and still have some to give away. I typically make 3-4 wheelbarrows in 45 minutes this way. There are other good bamboo biochar videos available but they tend to miss key points like top-down ignition (no smoke) and bottom-up quench (improved cation exchange capacity). I hope this short video will help users get started easily.
