"Lulu" was written by Bob Britt, Delbert McClinton, and Kevin Kendree and released in 2019 on the album "Tall, Dark, And Handsome" by 'King of Texas Blues' Delbert McClinton from Lubbock, Texas. This recording was awarded the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album.
Delbert McClinton is a touring musician since the 1960s. He retired 2021 from touring. A number of songs from all of his phases are part of The Magictones’ set list.
This video was recorded at the wonderful Stadtpark in Fürth as guest of Fürth’s Jazzclub FÜ-JAZZ. The tune shows the quiet side of our set list. Featured soloists are Marc Summa on bass, Andre Engelbrecht on guitar and Traugott Jäschke on tenor sax. The audio is taken directly from the static mobile phone, the live sound was in the hands of Schlot.
