Woodturning on a new lathe! I take an off balance log and put this Powermatic 3520C through its paces. From a branchy crotch log to a beautiful and rustic centerpiece of a bowl.

My new lathe is a Powermatic 3520C and I chose it because I had the opportunity to upgrade and I had no doubts about the brand. Between brand confidence and the features, such as electronic control, reverse capable, 2HP, 220v, 20 inch swing, shorter bed ways, much more heavy over all, a spindle lock that is hands free, and a great warrantee. More I’m sure, but that’s it in a nutshell. The one thing it doesn’t have that I really loved about the old Jet, is a pivoting head stock for easier outboard turning. With shorter bed ways, it really isn’t an issue.
