Welcome back to the Scottish wilds!
After last week’s failed fire and tough cold camp, I headed straight back out, this time with a plan… and a £11.99 budget Amazon wood stove I wasn’t expecting much from.
This was a proper frozen tarp + bivvy camp. Temperatures dropped to –4°C, snow blew under the tarp at 2am, and the British Army medium weight sleeping bag finally got a proper sub-zero test.
But the big question was simple:
Can an £11.99 stove from Amazon actually help me get a fire going… or is it a complete waste of time?
