Doing Homework

I first got the idea to record a video featuring a Sim doing homework before the 18th January of this year, but it wasn't until today that I got around to recording it. Nonetheless, this is the third video that I've taken this year to be based around a concept that I had this year.

I had attempted to record this video yesterday, but due to complications in my save, I was forced to postpone the recording of this video for today. The complications included a Group Science Project which had not been cleaned up properly and was making script errors as a result.

I also had NRaas' Stuck Check Auto Reset disabled which caused a significant amount of script errors after I had reset everything to prevent lag. These script errors made it impossible for me to record a decent video. So I had to spend some of today working out what was causing the script errors in order to record this video without any issues.

This video took two attempts to get right. It would have taken one attempt. But I had forgotten to make sure that Darryrene's second layer of blush makeup on her cheeks was showing up correctly on the first attempt. The paparazzi that was supposed to appear in the video also didn't appear, apparently due to a script error or because he was marked as an unrouteable Sim.

This video features Darryrene Van Gould doing her homework at her family's penthouse while trying to ignore the creepy paparazzi who is stalking her for pictures in the process. The paparazzi is one of the tenants of the penthouse which is how he managed to harass Darryrene at home. What does an underage celebrity have to do to avoid being stalked by an overage paparazzi? Geez!

Darryrene has been doing extremely well in school, and keeping on top of her homework, despite having the Stupid trait that comes with Pescado's AwesomeMod. This ironic success at school has earned her the nickname 'Idiotic Genius'. She had just gotten home after getting on the honour role and going on a field trip.

Let's hope that she will be made Valedictorian. I mean she's already been made Prom Queen and has gotten on the honour role. Keep in mind that she has the Absent-Minded, Couch Potato, Stupid, and Unlucky traits. None of these traits are very good for a student who wants to be at the top of their classes.

Doing her homework has caused Darryrene a lot of mental strain as you can tell by the way she is acting in this video. Normally it would take her roughly six Sim hours to complete her homework. But for this video, she was able to finish her homework in roughly three hours.

Since she has had the Fast Learner lifetime reward for quite a while now, I believe that the Multitasker lifetime reward that she recently obtained may be at least partially responsible for her finishing her homework more quickly. This video was taken on the 22nd January 2026, slightly more than 40 minutes ago. So it's brand new. Enjoy! :)
