Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was arrested by Kochi Police after allegedly fleeing during a narcotics raid. Following four hours of interrogation, he was booked under Sections 27 and 29 of the NDPS Act and later released on bail.

During questioning, Shine was initially defiant but eventually admitted to using drugs—specifically crystal meth and marijuana—since the COVID-19 pandemic. His methods of consumption and casual approach shocked investigators.

Police believe Shine’s case could expose deeper drug links within the Malayalam film industry. A medical test and further proceedings are underway.
