Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Filmed in early Aug 2025.
These elevators are fast and furious, but shaky and overall unimpressive for Michigan’s tallest building. Nevertheless they are fun to ride. I like the original bell lanterns. Also take note of the malfunctioning right panel at the beginning of the video.
The central tower was completed in ‘77. These elevators were last modernized circa 2004 as part of the GM RenCen renovation. The central tower’s elevators are similar to the elevators of Towers 100-400.
