Indian Railways is set to welcome 2026 with a major boost to premium rail travel as Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will be launched this month. Designed for long-distance overnight journeys, the Vande Bharat Sleeper is a fully air-conditioned train set equipped with modern sleeper and AC berths, improved comfort, advanced safety systems, and faster performance. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off the train in the second half of January 2026, marking a significant milestone in the modernization of Indian Railways and bringing a big New Year cheer for passengers across the country
