Hi everyone! I am excited to present a Chopin waltz that has stayed with me throughout my piano journey. I first began playing this waltz 9 years ago, and I have decided to learn it again this past month.
Back then, me and my piano teacher were always a bit perplexed at Chopin’s metronome mark of 144 bpm, as it felt too fast for a waltz. Little did we know that we were interpreting it to be twice too quick! I am thankful that the Whole Beat Metronome Practice provides us with a logical answer to these metronome marks. It’s always nice to revisit old songs and approach it in an improved manner. I hope you all enjoyed my performance, and I encourage you all to check out my older performance as well for a blast from the past!
