I recently spent my 20th wedding anniversary staying at the H10 Timanfaya Palace hotel on the Canary Island of Lanzarote. The hotel is in the resort of Playa Blanca and is absolutely fabulous! It was our second visit to the hotel and one of the days out we always regretted not doing last time was the trek up Montana Roja - the mountain that looms just behind the hotel. Well this time we did it! And what a journey! I had my Go Pro with me so thought it would be a great excuse to video the walk. We did take a slight wrong turn right at that start. I was going to edit it out but decided not to. If you are ever thinking of doing this hike - it is very very much worth it. I hope you enjoy watching this. Thanks. Comments very much appreciated.
