The Universities and Colleges Apostolic Ministries (UCAM) is a twenty-six-year-old non-profit campus ministry with members in over twenty post-secondary institutions across Jamaica. The UCAM’s flagship fundraising event, UCAFEST, annually attracts one thousand patrons but this year we are seeking to double that. It features local campus and guest music groups, choirs, soloists and musicians.
UCAFEST is an evening of intense praise and worship, quality music and pure fellowship among Apostolic tertiary students that welcomes all.
This year we will be donating towards the education of children who have been orphaned by domestic violence, particularly where the parent committed suicide after murdering their partner or the main breadwinner was murdered as a result of domestic violence. The donated funds will be used to subsidize or cover costs associated with the 2020/2021 academic for the benefiting students.
We have officially collaborated with the Office of the Children’s Advocate, headed by Mrs. Diahann Gordon Harrison who is also the National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons to select the beneficiaries of and administer the donations.
