WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

(03:43) Our Estate Planning Workshop is for those interested in pre-planning, as opposed to our Medicaid Crisis Planning Workshop, which is most appropriate when a loved one will need skilled care within the next six to 12 months.

(04:56) Skilled care means help with several daily activities (e.g., eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, or walking).

(05:57) When there is no immediate need for skilled care, attend the Estate Planning Workshop. Pre-planning gives you a jump on fulfilling the requirements of Medicaid’s five-year lookback period.

(10:09) At the end of our workshops, a team member will explain your options and the costs of planning. You are free to move forward with the process or not.

(15:41) Our Life Care Planning team includes two licensed social workers, a registered nurse, and other team members who are there to assist your family.

(21:54) Our Special Needs Trust Workshop is for those who are already receiving public benefits but will be losing the benefits due to an inheritance, settlement, excess income, etc.

(24:16) The Probate and Trust Administration Workshops help you understand what is needed to conduct probate or trust administration after your loved one has passed.
