Welcome back to my second hike of the winter trying to knock off as many Wainwrights as possible in order for my big push to complete them in 2026. On this hike I ticked off Sale Fell and Ling Fell in the North Western Lakes. This was my 168th and 169th Wainwright.
Parking at St Margaret's Church in Wythop I head up on to Sale Fell via the two Birkett's of Lothwaite and Rivings before heading out and back to Ling Fell. Once back off the fell it was a lovely walk all the way back to the car via Chapel Wood and Wythop Wood.
