With a very slow moving potash empty ahead, this coal empty is moving relatively quickly. But the potash empty is long and dangerously close to stall, so it has to be kept moving beyond the crest of Notch Hill, ten miles east. There's nothing for it but to stop the coal train at Squilax. I did record the entire length of the stop, but I am not that mean to hold you to it. So here the train pauses briefly and moves on. The action is caught just west of the Squilax Turtle Valley Road grade crossing at Mile 87.2 of the CPKC Shuswap Subdivision at Squilax, British Columbia, Canada.

Technical:
Recorded with a Canon XA55 4KHD Pro video camera at 1920x1080 resolution and 60 frames per second. It is equipped with an Azden SMX-10 Stereo Microphone mounted inside a Rode Blimp Windshield. A Neewer NW74K 7-Inch 1920x1080 Field Monitor is also used. All equipment is mounted on a custom Neewer camera cage attached to a Canadian Studio Pro Heavy Duty 72" Tripod using a NEEWER GM006 Pro Video Fluid Head.
