Police SURPRISE Man Trying to BUY Audi Using FAKE ID

Officers responded to an Audi dealership after being notified of a suspected fraudulent driver’s license being used during a vehicle purchase attempt.

An employee provided officers with the identification in question, which displayed multiple indicators of being fictitious and did not meet state-issued security standards. A records check showed the driver’s license number belonged to another individual.

The suspect provided that name during the encounter and was taken into custody. A search conducted incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was transported to the county jail, where fingerprint records confirmed his true identity.

Investigators later contacted the individual whose information was used, who stated he did not know the suspect and did not authorize the use of his personal identifying information.

The suspect was charged accordingly. Court records indicate the case was filed as a felony matter, a plea of not guilty was entered, legal counsel was appointed, and future court proceedings are scheduled.
