The film Mere Mehboob was a musical blockbuster with every song becoming a chartbuster. "Mere Mehboob Tujhe Meri Muhabbat" (Rafi and Lata versions) was the iconic title track and became the most popular song of 1963.

➜ The famous "Sadhana Cut" hairstyle with frontal fringe became a nationwide fashion craze after this film. Director Rawail created this look by cutting Sadhana's hair with scissors to cover her broad forehead, inspired by Audrey Hepburn.
➜ Rajendra Kumar had been assistant to director H.S. Rawail for 10 years before Rawail fulfilled his promise to cast him as the hero in Mere Mehboob.
➜ When the film unit went to Lucknow for shooting, such a massive crowd gathered to see the stars that people's clothes were torn in the frenzy. Police couldn't control the crowd, so Rawail shot only one scene there and completed the remaining Lucknow scenes in Hyderabad.
➜ The movie was released immediately after Eid in 1963, and the combination of the story, songs, and Naushad's legendary music made it set cash registers on fire.
