ICE trike electric conversion part 1

The first of a series of videos showing how I converted an ICE Adventure 20 recumbent trike to electric drive, using a Bafang BBSHD 48v motor. It will probably be 3 or 4 parts in total.

In this video I introduce the conversion and show you the parts used for the conversion, including the Bafang motor kit and TerraCycle mounting parts.

This was a Bafang BBSHD motor with wheel speed sensor, gear shift sensor, brake lever cut off switches and thumb throttle. This conversion used the C965 display.

There was custom programming of the motor controller to give better control of power delivery, to maximise the life of the internal geared hub on this bike. Details of this are coming later in subsequent parts of the video.
