Listening was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in the late 1960s, known for their contribution to the "Bosstown Sound," a term coined to describe the emerging rock scene in Boston during that era. The band became a leading act on the Boston stage in 1968, releasing a single self-titled album, Listening, on the Vanguard label, along with one non-album promotional single, "Hello You" b/w "Life Stories." Their music is characterized by a blend of hard rock, psychedelic rock, and progressive rock elements, with ambiguous lyrics often tied to themes of marijuana and psychedelic experiences.
