CNK 420 for biogas upgrading plants

Based on its long-standing expertise BAUER is continuously optimising its so-called "CNK product range", which is manufactured in the company's German and French plants according to highest quality standards. More than 600 BAUER screw compressor systems have now been successfully put into operation, with a strong presence in Europe as well as in the USA and India.

These compressors can handle flow rates up to 3500 Nm³/h of biogas and pressures of over 16 bar.
In addition to industrial applications the product range also supports research facilities and start-ups that work with flow rates from 15 m³/h per hour. It thus contributes to the development of
key technologies for the future of renewable energies.

Thanks to its simple design, the CNK420 system offers compact dimensions and
high reliability true to the motto: "The fewer unnecessary parts, the fewer breakdowns."
But also uncomplicated access for maintenance work. Already in the
design phase, great importance was attached to making maintenance processes as efficiently as possible to minimise downtimes. One example of this is the oil separator tank with swivelling device, which facilitates replacing the coalescence filter.

Especially for biogas upgrading plants that feed into the grid around the clock, this reliability is of central importance. The resulting cost reduction is of decisive importance in order to make renewable energies competitive with fossil fuels.

The modular design allows the system to be customised to the requirements of the operator
without compromising the standardisation of the machine. The result: reduced costs and delivery times and increased quality. At the same time it is easily installed in standard containers .
It can also be supplied as a turnkey solution, fully equipped with customisable sound insulation to meet the specific requirements on site.

Another example is the optional gas filtration , which fulfils the strict requirements for the gas quality upstream before the membranes. With an oil content of less than 0.0025 mg/m³, the highest quality class according to ISO 8573-1 is achieved, which extends the service life of the membranes significantly.

Safety is also not neglected with the CNK420 machine either. In addition to compliance with all
relevant European directives, the strict safety requirements according to the standards for functional safety are fulfilled, in order to optimally guarantee the safety
functions.

To summarise, the CNK420 plant underlines the progress of biogas as a serious alternative to fossil fuels.
