In Germany’s first and only ship degassing site, inland waterway vessels can legally dispose of their residual gases in the Port of Duisburg. Whether for product change, maintenance or repair – in many situations, ships, gas tankers and motor vessels must dispose of residual gases and be completely gas-free. In the Port of Duisburg, ETS Degassing enables efficient treatment of all products in accordance with CDNI Phases I-III – without open flame or odor.

Previously, shipping companies had to send ships to the Netherlands for ADN-compliant degassing. With the ETS Degassing site, the Port of Duisburg now also offers environmentally-friendly degassing for inland waterway vessels. This eliminates the need for the trip to the Netherlands for degassing, as the nearest degassing station is 32 hours away.
